Chad Stenson is a dedicated husband, father of two, martial artist, and Chisago County Sheriff’s Deputy who exemplifies discipline, grit, and service both on and off the mat. While protecting and serving our community, Chad balances the demands of law enforcement with the commitment required to compete at the highest levels of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
In 2025, Chad earned a gold medal at the IBJJF No-Gi World Championships as a purple belt, marking the biggest milestone of his competitive career. On the road to Worlds, he also medaled at IBJJF Pans and American Nationals, along with winning numerous IBJJF Opens and local tournaments.
Chad’s next goal is to complete an IBJJF Grand Slam at brown belt. In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a Grand Slam means earning gold medals at all four major IBJJF championships within a single belt division: the European Championship, Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship, Brazilian Nationals, and World Championships. Achieving this distinction places an athlete among an elite group who have demonstrated consistency, durability, and excellence at the highest level of the sport.
As someone who dedicates his career to protecting and serving our community, Chad now has the support of that same community as he pursues this goal. Through sponsorships and fundraising efforts, we are working together to help cover the travel, training, and competition costs required to complete his Grand Slam journey.
Chad continues to represent his gym, sponsors, and community with pride, driven by hard work, accountability, and the belief that success is built through consistent effort — on the mats and in life.
Chad receives a commission on every one of his signature shirts that are sold.
